Caramelized onion chicken pizza

Serves 8

Tip: Want more flavor? Finely chop pineapple or five slices of Canadian bacon and sprinkle on your pizza.

  1. Add 1 1/2 cups warm water.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon sugar.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon active dry yeast.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon salt.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  6. Set yeast mixture aside.
  7. Add 2 cups whole-wheat flour.
  8. Add 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
  9. Mix flour and yeast mixture.
  10. Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  11. Add 1 teaspoon olive oil.
  12. Add 1 small red onion.
  13. Cook until caramelized.
  14. Place dough on baking sheet.
  15. Add 1/2 cup barbecue sauce.
  16. Add 6 ounces cooked chicken breast.
  17. Add cooked onions.
  18. Add 1 yellow bell pepper.
  19. Add 1 green bell pepper.
  20. Add 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese.
  21. Add 1/2 cup feta cheese.
  22. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400 F.
