Self-care

Don't eat certain foods, including beans and lentils, and limit dairy foods with lactose, fruits containing fructose, and the sweetener sorbitol. Taking a walk after meals may help.

  • Blood in the stool.

When to make a doctor's appointment

Make an appointment to see a healthcare professional if:

  • Long-lasting or severe.
  • Vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.
  • Losing weight without trying.
  • Heartburn.
