Description

Much less urination than usual.

Self-care

If oliguria happens due to dehydration, drink plenty of water or sports drinks with electrolytes.

When to seek immediate medical care

See a healthcare professional right away for:

  • Trouble urinating despite a strong urge to go.
  • Trouble urinating along with pain, a fast heartbeat, fever, dizziness, confusion or dark brown urine.
  • Serious thirst but no urge to urinate.
