A form of breast cancer affecting the nipple and dark circle of skin around it.

Overview

Paget's disease of the breast is a form of breast cancer affecting the nipple and dark circle of skin around it, called the areola. Most people with it have underlying ductal breast cancer.

Symptoms

Nipple or areola flaking, scaling, crusting, oozing, itching and discharge are symptoms.

Treatments

Treatment may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and hormone therapy.
