Neonatal acne

Description

Small bumps that appear on a baby's cheeks, nose, and forehead.

Overview

Acne in babies usually appears on the cheeks, nose, and forehead. It's also known as baby acne.

Symptoms

Babies also develop tiny white bumps known as milia.

Treatments

Neonatal acne isn't preventable and usually goes away on its own. If the acne lasts several months, a pediatrician may recommend a medicated cream.
