Miliaria
Description
A skin condition caused by blocked sweat ducts and trapped sweat beneath the skin.
Overview
Miliaria is common during hot, humid weather. It occurs when sweat ducts become blocked, trapping sweat under the skin. This condition is also called heat rash and prickly heat.
Symptoms
The rash may appear as small blisters or deep, inflamed lumps. Heat rash may cause itchiness or a prickly feeling.
Treatments
Heat rash usually goes away on its own once the skin cools.
