Lymphoma

Description

Cancer that affects the body's germ and disease-fighting system, also called the lymphatic system.

Overview

Lymphoma is a cancer of the body's disease-fighting system, also called the lymphatic system. There are many types of lymphoma. The two main types are Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Symptoms

Symptoms may include fever, night sweats, feeling very tired and itchy skin. Lymph nodes also may swell in the belly, neck, armpits or groin.

Treatments

Treatments may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted medicines and radiation. Other treatments include chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy and bone marrow transplant, also called stem cell transplant.
