Overview

Ingrown hair is a condition in which a shaved or tweezed hair grows back into the skin, causing swelling. It's common in Black people with curly hair who shave.

Symptoms

The main symptoms are small, solid bumps and small, pus-filled blisters.

Treatments

Not removing hair or using methods such as laser hair removal can prevent the condition.
