Eosinophilic esophagitis is an ongoing immune condition in which the esophagus is inflamed or injured. The esophagus is the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach.
Symptoms
Symptoms include trouble swallowing, food getting lodged in the tube and persistent heartburn.
Treatments
Treatments include diet changes, medicines and stretching of the esophagus.
