Diastolic heart failure is a condition in which the heart's lower left chamber can't relax or fill fully. This chamber is called the left ventricle. It is the heart's main pumping chamber.

Symptoms

Symptoms might include shortness of breath, leg swelling and fatigue.

Treatments

Treatment may depend on the cause. It often includes lifestyle changes and medicines.
