Overview
Dermatitis is a general term for inflammation of the skin. It's usually not contagious.
Symptoms
Dermatitis typically involves an itchy rash on swollen, inflamed skin. Examples are dandruff, contact rashes, and atopic dermatitis, which is also known as eczema.
Treatments
Treatment options include self-care, corticosteroid creams, and light therapy.
