Overview

A diet low in essential vitamins is often the cause of avitaminosis. Avitaminosis may play a role in various conditions. It depends on which vitamin or vitamins are low in the body.

Symptoms

Avitaminosis symptoms can vary widely, depending on what the body lacks. Symptoms can include weakness, tingling, confusion, skin issues and vision changes.

Treatments

Avitaminosis treatment includes increasing vitamin levels through diet or supplements.
