Aneuploidy

Overview

Aneuploidy occurs when there is 1 or more missing or extra chromosome. Aneuploidy occurs at an early stage of the development of the fertilized egg. The chromosome mutation causes genetic conditions including Down syndrome and Turner syndrome.
