Symptoms

Symptoms of alopecia include gradual thinning on top of the head, patchy bald spots, sudden loosening of hair, and full-body hair loss.

Treatments

Some people let scalp hair loss run its course. Others choose to cover the baldness. A healthcare professional can recommend medicines and surgical procedures, depending on the type of hair loss.
